Having regular meetings with stakeholders helps in aligning the priorities and ensures everyone is on the same page.

7. How do you handle stakeholder pushback or resistance to a major IT initiative?

Addressing resistance is a key aspect of the CIO role. Interviewees should talk about their approach to communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management strategies to mitigate resistance.

When faced with pushback, I focus on transparent communication. I arrange for workshops or one-on-one sessions to understand the concerns of stakeholders.
